Opera believes that Web3 has to be easy to use to reach its full potential and mass adoption. “The Opera Crypto Browser project was created to simplify the Web3 user experience that has often been perplexing for mainstream users. ![]() “Interest in Web3 continues to grow,” said Jorgen Arnesen, Executive Vice President of Mobile at Opera, in a statement. With Crypto Browser, users can access web3 NFTs and decentralized applications, including 7000 Polygon-supported services. One of Crypto Browser’s goals is to make web3 browsing as easy as Web 2, says Opera. The Crypto Browser app also includes a feature called Crypto Corner, which brings together crypto news and information, along with events, airdrops, and podcasts, to help users stay up-to-date on technology. Users can also integrate their existing crypto wallets, as long as they are compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, into the integrated browser wallet. Users can buy crypto using fiat and exchange currency, and send and receive supported tokens. The app’s built-in crypto wallet supports Ethereum, Polygon and Celo blockchain technology and Opera plans to integrate more ecosystems. Opera says that they built this browser for those already familiar with cryptocurrency as well as newcomers. ![]() ![]() Previously, the browser was available on Windows, Mac, and Android devices. Opera has released the iOS version of its Crypto Browser, designed to access web3, with a built-in custodial crypto wallet.
